Katerina Liakos brings her background in environmental studies and perspective of working at a human-centered design firm to cooking, event planning, and writing. She obtained a master's in applied gastronomy at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy in 2021, and has cooked in Iceland, Italy, but is currently based in Brooklyn.
